The Paul L. was built by George Ryan in 1907; it was 124 ft. long. On May 28, 1910, the Paul L. capsized at the dock and went down at the foot of Moore Street. A load of coal that was being unloaded became overbalanced and caused a heavy list to port. The steamer was valued at $15,000; the value of the lost cargo was $300.
