Originally known as the J.A. Day Company in 1864. The firm was reorganized in 1874 as Cook, Brown and Co. Then in 1887 it was renamed the Cook and Brown Lime Company. This image shows the main yard of the company on Marion Rd., now the site of the Park Plaza Mall/City Center. Photo taken 1948.
