Clyde Lee's Oshkosh Plane

Circa 1932. In order to undertake a trans-Atlantic flight to Norway, Clyde Allen Lee sought financial support from the Oshkosh Overall factory. He painted company advertising on the fuselage of his Stinson airplane, but the company eventually lost interest. Ultimately, a businessman in Vermont offered support, and Lee repainted the plane before taking off. Lee disappeared over the Atlantic on his flight to Norway.
